I figured this would be a simple post. I’d just write somethin’ quick then get back to my homework. Not so. Lots of unimportant things going on:
(1) For one thing, this is my 50th post. Oh yeah, that’s sad and exciting. I didn’t realize that I’ve been going this long. Still strong, but I’m starting to feel it in my knees.
(2) I burned myself tonight. It was a rather frustrating evening. I looked in the fridge, stared, stared some more, then crickets started chirping, and then I still couldn’t decide between the turkey sandwich or bowl of not so good Safeway cereal. So, I was going to go cereal style for dinner, but then found one of my many 10-cent Top Ramens. I opted for the beef flavor of wannabe soup broth, and cooked it up. After cooking it in the pot, I went to pour it out and dumped a significant amount of Top Ramen on my left hand. The worst part was that this was spicy beef flavor. So, the intense heat + spicy flavoring = the worst burn I’ve had this year. But I’ve had worse. I’ve lit myself on fire for heavens sake. I should be able to tough this one out. It’s a good reminder of why I’ll never eat anything but cold cereal again.
(3) On the topic of senior citizens and cereal (see last post), I was wondering why they don’t use more ‘people of age’ on the front of cereal boxes. All I get is cracked out squirrels and this crazy bird that goes nuts every time he sees chocolate cereal. And then I realized this would happen:
The concept freaked me out. So, I’m now perfectly fine with that ridiculous squirrel and stupid bird on the front of my cereal.
